The Real Hillary’s Raw Socialism

May 31, 2007

IBD Editorial

A Hat Tip to one of our commenters, A.M. Mora y Leon, of Publius Pundit for the heads up of the IBD Editorial.

Election 2008: Sen. Hillary Clinton shared on Tuesday her vision of the U.S. economy under her executive stewardship. She should change her party affiliation – or the name of her party.Speaking in New Hampshire, Clinton acknowledged that instead of the “ownership society” that George W. Bush has promoted throughout his presidency, she prefers a “we’re all in it together society” where prosperity is “broadly shared.”

This is the sort of “it takes a village” rhetoric that tickles the ears of the left, and which can’t give up its romantic notions of a collectivist utopia.

Dreams of the left, however, always turn out to be nightmares, and the world has seen its share of all-in-it-together societies that have failed. The Soviet Union, East Germany, North Korea and the worker’s paradise/island prison of Cuba enter the mind right away.

Then there are the teetering soft-socialist systems of Europe, while socialist/communist power grabs now sapping the wealth and strength of Zimbabwe and Venezuela are contemporary lessons that can’t be ignored.

Given these examples, do we really want to turn America into another experiment in collectivism? Are we willing to trade hard-won freedoms for government-provided security? Would we be willing to force those who don’t want to participate into such a system?

Hillary’s Utopia…I prefer America.  And you?

Sen. Clinton Defends Private Jet Travel

May 31, 2007

Want a little insight into the way the Clinton mind works? Watch how Hillary defends her use of private jets paid for by a guy who bilked millions of dollars out of senior citizens:

”Whatever I’ve done, I complied with Senate rules at the time. That’s the way every senator operates,” the Democratic presidential contender said in an interview with The Associated Press during a campaign stop in Las Vegas.

Clinton’s travel, along with and consulting fees paid to her husband, the former president, have come to light recently in a lawsuit against Vinod Gupta, a Clinton contributor and chief executive of the data company, InfoUSA Inc.

The lawsuit by company shareholders accuses Gupta of excessively spending millions of dollars, including $900,000 worth of travel on the Clintons.

Sen. Clinton, who complained about corporate America’s largesse and skyrocketing executive pay during campaign events Wednesday, said she did not believe her message was undermined by her acceptance of the private flights. In line with Senate rules then in effect, Clinton’s campaign has said she reimbursed Gupta at the cost of a first-class flight, typically a significant discount off the expense of a private jet.

Hillary the lawyer (and Bill too) always move the discussion to legal ethics (what was technically legal – often what I can get away with) rather than morality. She doesn’t discuss whether it was morally right to take money from a sleezeball who stole from the elderly or whether it seems hypocritical to sound off about the “haves and the have nots” when she is traveling via private jet at regular airfare rates. Nope, she says “I followed the rules at the time.” And she throws in an “everybody does it” just in case she needs further cover. Sounds like a teeenager making excuses.

Just like Mr. Edwards Hillary has no shame in promoting a steal from the rich and give to the poor populist strategy as long as she gets to keep her money and lifestyle. Nice work if you can get it I guess.

It Takes A Vain Personality

May 31, 2007

Transcript is here

Vanity. All is vanity. And there is nothing new under the sun. Such are the words in the book of Ecclesiastes, my favorite book in The Bible. Hillary has nothing new to offer because what she has to offer to the American People has already been offered up to them and has been rejected in times past. Such is the case here, albeit quite a few of the misguided and the touchy-feely emotional types have swallowed her drivel lock, stock and lock-step.

SEN. HILLARY CLINTON (D-NY), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: It’s time for a new beginning. For an end to government of the few by the few and for the few. Time to reject the idea of an on-your-own society and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity. I prefer a “we’re all in it together” society.

HANNITY: That was Senator Hillary Clinton yesterday in New Hampshire. So what is the senator really trying to say with those words?

Joining us now is our friend, author of a terrific book, “Words that Work”. Frank Luntz is with us.

It sounds to me like that’s — it takes a village 2.0, Frank.

FRANK LUNTZ, AUTHOR, “WORDS THAT WORK”: It’s that phrase, to end an “on-your-own society.” If there ever was an indication of where Hillary Clinton stands politically, ideologically, those are the words.

What she’s clearly saying is enough of individualism. We’re now going to do things collectively. Now, the American people do like the concept of we’re all in this together, but what they don’t want is to give up individual freedoms, individual rights.

I think that this rhetoric, if people pay attention to it carefully, they will see that this goes too far to the left, too close to social democracy rather than freedom. And I think she’ll have a problem with it in the general election.

And there we have it. Hillary and her ilk prefer do have our Federal Republic form of government as envisioned by our Framers replaced with a Socialist Democracy. And that is the path of incrementalism. This a dangerous crossroads for this country and our traditional American way of life.

Day and Night

May 31, 2007

And where they meet, there is twilight. When Hillary is thrown into the mix, we have the Twilight Zone coupled with the Outer Limits with cameo appearances of the Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Real Clear Politics has Hillary’s New Hampshire transcript available for all to study.  I read it and studied it and Hillary is even MORE spookier than the first horror movie I ever viewed as a child, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte.

Hillary might as well wear the insignia of Stalin.  If Stalin were alive, today, he most assuredly would be very proud of Hillary.

Some People’s Kids

May 31, 2007

I don’t get it.  I read an article that seems to have that DNC Double Standard thing going.  At one  point the article condemns Hillary and her “better(?) half” for consorting with known thugs and at the same time praising their politics.  Huh?  It seems that their politics drives their relationships with known thugs…doesn’t it?

Earth to Froma Harrop!!  Anybody home?

Sometimes I forget why the Clintons disturb me. Then they offer a reminder. Case in point are reports that one of Hillary Clinton’s most pampered donors made big bucks off scams against the elderly.

The Clintons disturb her.

One recalls the dark days of the Lewinsky scandal, when people like me worked their darndest to drag Bill over the finish line of his last four years. We were not about to let the Republican leadership use a sex scandal as a pretense to overturn an election.

Froma Harrop disturbs me!  A “pretense”?  I guess immorality and adultery are OK to Froma?

But then what does Clinton do? In his last hours on the job he pardons Marc Rich, a fugitive moneybags charged with more than 50 counts of fraud, racketeering and tax evasion. This was done unblushingly and without concern for how it might reflect on Hillary, whose political career was just taking off.

Poor Hillary?  Hillary was the driving force there,  Froma.  Wake up!

So should one regret having saved Bill Clinton’s hide? Not one bit. We did it for the democracy. But let it be said that the sight of the pair finally vacating the White House provided much relief. As Hillary now runs for president and takes money tied to major-league creeps, that old sick feeling starts coming back.

Then why the support?

Come on, Hillary, show a little more class.

And there we have it.  As long as the socialist and known supporter of charlatanism doesn’t take money from thugs and scam artists and shows a little class, all is well.  God save us from ourselves.

Hillary Struggling to Top GOP Stragglers

May 31, 2007

Here is a headline that has to give Hillary nightmares: Clinton Holds Single-Digit Leads Over Huckabee, Brownback. That’s gotta hurt.

The Rasmussen report also contains this little nugget (which we have touched on before):

However, in general election match-ups, she typically is outperformed by Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D) and former North Carolina Senator John Edwards (D). That’s largely because voters have such strong opinions—one way or the other—about the former First Lady. Forty-seven percent (47%) of American voters say they will definitely vote against Clinton if she’s on the ballot in 2008.

Hillary Clinton is now viewed favorably by 49% of likely voters, unfavorably by 51%. That includes 22% with a Very Favorable opinion and 35% with a Very Unfavorable opinion.

Maybe Hillary’s charm offensive isn’t working out so well? Maybe people aren’t exactly thrilled about her new economic plan? If she is struggling to out poll two GOP candidates with low name recognition and high negatives she isn’t the juggernaut many believe her to be.

Hillary Gets An Endorsement From Leftifornia

May 31, 2007

And the Queen of the Leftinistra Lame Stream Media, the New York Times a close “associate of the LA Times” (snort) (snicker) has made the announcement that Hillary “Clinton Secures Endorsement of the Mayor of Los Angeles”. Now who would have thought such a thing.

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clinton have delivered another one-two punch that reflects their combined political power: corralling the endorsement of Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa of Los Angeles, one of the most powerful Democrats in California and among the most influential Hispanics in the nation.

Say it ain’t so! THAT is why she has endorsed the non-amnesty amnesty illegal immigration bill!! For the Hispanic vote in Leftifornia! Amazing. Simply amazing. If this old grunt from Texas can see this for what it is, surely more of y’all out there can as well.

Hillary Blowing Smoke

May 31, 2007

While she blows smoke in places where the sun never shines, I am reminded of the saying, “Please don’t ‘urinate’ on my shoes and tell me it is raining.” Listen to this drivel. Most of America hasn’t read the ISG but I have. She alludes to “cherry picked” phrases and yammers along making it seem like she knows the text verbatim. What a fraud this twit is.

LAS VEGAS (AP) – White House hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday defended her vote against an Iraq war funding bill, saying she believes President Bush will begin withdrawing troops from Iraq soon.

The New York senator said she came to the conclusion while watching the president’s news conference last week in which he referred to the bipartisan Iraq Study Group report and its recommendations for the administration.

“He talked about it favorably for the first time I’ve ever heard him talk about it,” Clinton told The Associated Press in an interview during a campaign stop in Las Vegas. “That was to me a big signal that starting in the fall and toward the end of the year we’re going to start seeing troops withdrawn from Iraq.

“My argument is, why wait?”

Among other things, the Iraq Study Group warned against sending more troops for long stints in the war zone and initially called for withdrawal by early 2008.

Hillary? What PAGES are you referring to; how many paragraphs are there on this subject; and what is the overall CONTEXT? Hello? Hillary is really good at taking a text out of context and thereby making it a pretext…making it mean whatever she wants it to be. Moonbat.

Hillary’s Campaign To Raze The Individual

May 31, 2007

“Fascist ethics begin … with the acknowledgment that it is not the individual who confers a meaning upon society, but it is, instead, the existence of a human society which determines the human character of the individual. According to Fascism, a true, a great spiritual life cannot take place unless the State has risen to a position of pre-eminence in the world of man. The curtailment of liberty thus becomes justified at once, and this need of rising the State to its rightful position.”

[Mario Palmieri, “The Philosophy of Fascism” 1936]

“We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society.”

[Hillary Clinton, 1993]

“When will the world learn that a million men are of no importance compared with one man?”

[Henry David Thoreau]

Neal Bortz

I am glad to see that I am not alone in my assessments on Miss Czarina.

Well .. there you go. A few different opinions on the value of the individual and individualism. This Thoreau character seemed to recognize the primacy of the individual. You really can’t say the same for European fascists and our probable next president of the United States, the smartest woman in the world, Hillary Rodham.

Have you been listening to Hillary? I’m not asking if you’ve been hearing her. The question is have you been listening? Have you taken her words, sat down and absorbed them? Have you looked for the nuances? Have you tried to read between the lines? Remember her “I want to take those profits” rant after Exxon Mobile released their FY 2006 profits? Listen, folks. Hillary .. the real Hillary … is starting emerge from her den. If you listen — really listen — you aren’t going to like what you hear.

Read those quotes in the box again. Notice that our probable next president is right in there with the fascist pre-WWII leaders of Europe in her rhetoric. Hillary-the-anti-individual is on the prowl.

Hillary. The Socialist. Questions?

She Began ‘Turning, Turning, Turning’ To Obama, Dodd Stance

May 31, 2007

OUCH! That had to hurt! NY Observer:

In a daring attempt to “foil the coppers”, Hillary slowly makes the turn. What evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows! This particular article is “Rather” lengthy but well worth the time.

At Hillary Clinton’s first major Presidential fund-raiser back in February, an anti-war protester who had snuck into the event called on her to explain why she refused to end the war by simply cutting off funds for the troops.

“There is a fine line to walk here,” Mrs. Clinton said, explaining that she did in fact want to end the war but had serious reservations about blocking money earmarked for soldiers. “I do not feel comfortable cutting off funds that will keep them safe when they are sent on this mission.”

She wants to end the war because she has aspirations of being the CIC and she is NOT ready or remotely qualified to be a CIC of trash can cleaning, let alone CIC of American fighting forces.

“You go back a year and you see Hillary turning the corner,” said pollster John Zogby, whose polling has shown 90 percent of registered Democrats opposed to the President’s handling of the war in Iraq. “You see her turning, turning, turning, so that it gives all the appearances of a natural evolution. But what it is, is a full realization that a general-election strategy based on the inevitability of a Hillary nomination has been put aside.”

Mrs. Clinton’s staff cast the shift as a logical reaction to a changing situation.

And that is what drives Hillary. It ain’t quite in the bag…yet. She hasn’t hired the right thugs yet to dig all the dirt on Obama and the Breck Girl.

There is a lot of good points in this article. Click the link and read away!
